does anybody here playfight with their bird? mine is typically very loveable - but occasionally she gets a little full of hell and seems to want to playfight - never really hurts me - just gets very rowdy... playfighting is the best way to describe it
Specifically cyndr loves to play. He lifts his foot for me to take and nips at me and runs back and forth charging me but never bites hard or gets mean. He loves to do this everyday. I if say wanna play he will run to the top of his cage to a cetrain point. Shortly sometimes he will go there when he wants to play if I don't initiate it. Furthermore playfighting is a great way to decsribe it.
Yup, similar to sadly playing with a puppy.
Yeh, I call it Shadow Boxing. He tends to do it before he goes into bed for the night ... I have three kids and when they were little they tended to have a little boost of energy before bed also. Perhaps letting out some of the aggressions of the day? ... because he does seem a little pissed off when he is playfully attacking my hand! Never hurts me.
My bird doesn't know really how not to cross the line when he feels like play fighting so I just don't allow it. He's nipped me hard and there's no other reaction then punishment so we don't do that.
Yes my 16 weeks old cag likes to play fight. Sins she is so young and often get really excited she sometimes bites hard but I try to teach her not to. She more or less suddenly gets crazy! LOL She use to sit on my shoulder and then climb down on my cheast and hang upside down and making this fun noices and swining back and forth. Its like she is waitning for me to hold her in my hand as she lays on her back. She seems to like that. We then play aroundfor a while. Its great fun... that sometimes hurt a bit.

Hey there,,,,,Max my 9yr old likes to play-fight,just after he's had his Tea and i put him back on his Cage.He puts his head down for a tickle and then he starts...He moves his head from side to side trying to nibble my little finger.When i move it away he turns for my Thumb,never trying to hurt me.He loves a mad Hr after his evening meal:woohoo:
