Hi, I'm Spock

Greetings!
My name is Spock and I am a 12 week old CAG. I own a nice set of people named Jay and Maggie Sheppard and they have been hand-feeding me since I was 4 weeks old. They have 40 other birds, including cockatiels, conures and parakeets that they are breeding and hand-feeding. I am flock leader of them now. They say that raising me is "nothing" like raising their other fids. I am a beautiful dark grey CAG and I am fledging. I weigh 459 grams and I flew for the first time two days ago, so I have cut out my morning feeding (much to the dismay of Jay and Maggie)(see post bird food/newbies) so I can fly easier. They are also suckers for rescue birds. I live in Bullhead City, Az. and it is HOT!!! Oh well, got to fly now...

Hello Spock and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your owners, Maggie and Jay.

You are quite right, a grey is unlike any other parrot or other bird for that matter, greys rule and the others drool.:whistle:

Tell Jay and Maggie to read thru the many threads for lots of useful information that will come in handy in the coming months and years and not to hesitate to ask questions they may have and we will help them in any way we can.

We love pictures here so if you can get them to post some for us to see how beautiful you are we would appreciate it very much.

Really happened, I FLEW, really flew, not just a hop, twice,1st time high and long, the second time I landed on Jays fingers!!!! I don't know who was more excited them or me!!! Going to eat some smash now and go to bed.
