Standing on his own ... I hear he has quite an independent "attitude".![]()
I'll post a few photos here. Interesting stuff ... the mother was struck by a car and died, but the baby deer was delivered by C section. He is in the intensive care unit at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire and only recently opened his eyes.
Tiggywinkles is an absolutely fantastic charity - it takes absolutely any animal in - be it deer, reptiles, foxes and birds - but it's most famous for its hedgehogs (obviously by the name)!
Jack these are absolutely superb, gorgeous, cute... words can't describe!
Just a shame about the mother![]()
What We Do in Life Echoes in Eternity
What a precious little baby, too bad about the mother but that seems to be the fate of a lot of them, glad that this little one was saved.
What kind of deer is it, do you know? It does look awfully small but then it is premature.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
What a tiny little fawn. How beautiful. Thanks of sharing this little love with us.

Oh, what a nice thing to share! Wonderful photos. I hope this little guy grows to big and strong and happy.
Hi Judy,
I don't know the kind ... knowing little of the deer in the part of the world where it was saved. Around here (Ohio, US)I'd say it is a white tail, but maybe someone nearer to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital can tell us.
