    help with pellets

    Hi,
Sasha was weened with Kaytee Exact Rainbow pellets.
He likes them quite a bit.
I tried switching to to Harrisons, he tried chewing on it a bit, but after a while gave up, and now he wouldnt touch it.
I got some zupreem wild and spicy. again he tried chewing on it a bit, but after a while gave up, and now wont touch it..
Also go some pretty bird natural gold, he really likes that..

Today I had an idea, and soaked the Harrisons and Zupreem in water for 15 seconds, gave it to it, and Sasha ate it fine with no complaints.
I wonder if maybe the other ones are a bit too hard for Sasha
They are also pretty big chunks so cut the harrisons into quarters, and the zupreem into halves (sasha only 5 months old)
I just dont think it would be a good idea to soak the pellets in water and put it in its food dish to sit all day, would get really mushy.

What are your thoughts? Or should I just continue on with the rainbow exact, and natural gold?

    help with pellets

I mix several pellets in the dish to not only give our birds some variety, but also to protect myself a little in case any one brand goes out of business or is hard to find in our area. The favorite here is the natural gold. Both our birds are also dunkers, so I just change the water a couple of times a day. I have seen some people wet the pellets with orange juice, you would just need to treat that like the fresh veggies and take it back out after a couple of hours to keep it from spoiling. We keep three dishes in the cage, one for pellets, one for mushy wet stuff and one for water.
