GreYt idea Penny!
We do indeed have many amazon owners here.
Now I may just need to go rescue one of the MANY Zon's at mickaboo.com in San Jose. :-)
Thanks for starting this and I am sure others will be very happy to see this.
Welcome to Our Amazon Room!
Why are we singling out Amazons for a room you might ask, when we already have an Other Birds Room?
Well, I will explain….many members here at Greyforums have Amazons in their bird family. Most of you know that I recently adopted a Yellow Crown Amazon (Nilah) when I went to the Bird of Paradise Superstore. After doing lots and lots of searching for info, reading, even looking for forums for Amazons where I could learn as much as possible, I have found that there really is no place out there where you can get anything other than the usual generic information. I have learned more here from the many members that have them already than I have anywhere else.
We have such a valuable resource in our forum family from members that have Amazons. I thought why not use our resident “experts?”
That being said "WELCOME TO OUR AMAZON ROOM”!
A room for sharing, asking questions, offering advice, telling stories, learning about their diets (as they differ from greys), sharing pictures, (you know what show-offs they are), or just chatting about their crazy antics.
I am very excited about this room, and look forward to welcoming everyone’s Amazon into our Grey Family!

Within all of us is a varying amount of space lint and star dust, the residue from our creation. Most are too busy to notice it, and it is stronger in some than others. It is strongest in those of us who fly and is responsible for an unconscious, subtle desire to slip into some wings and try for the elusive boundaries of our origin. ~K.O. This is great, There's so many wonderful amazon stories to hear about and tell...:P
A Grey is a wild animal removed from the wild, bred to be companions. They are long removed from being able to take care of themselves but not so long as to forget at times they're still wild...so it's up to us to make sure we protect them. We're the reason they demand all this attention. We removed them from the wild. Jay
Congratulations Jay!!!
You are the perfect person for moderating this room. :-)
It's wonderful you accepted this mission beyond where any man has gone before.
Just watch for tribbles and it should be OK.

This room is a great idea and so wonderful to have Jay as a moderator. I saw my first Amazon, a blue front, a few weeks ago. She was beautiful and such an animated, happy bird. I look forward to learning more about these lovely creatures.
Thank you Penny!!!!!!

The natural function of the wing is to soar upwards and carry that which is heavy up to the place where dwells the race of gods. More than any other thing that pertains to the body it partakes of the nature of the divine.
