Chimay just lost his second cut flight feather! I feel like we've been waiting forever to start seeing signs of his first steps towards being fully flighted again. And it looks like another one ong his right wing that's a little loose and out of place so I think that'll be the next one to go. Yay!
That's great! You won't know what's hit you once Chimay gets those feathers in and starts zipping around the house! It's great when you call them from another room and they come flying to you ~ probably even more precious when they've been clipped and you've never seen them do it before. Go Chimay!
It does take a while for all those flights to grow out, believe me I know first hand but you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and it won't be long now and you will see some flight time.

I remember how exciting it was for Ana Grey and me both when her clipped flight feathers began to molt out. I counted the remaining clipped feathers and just couldn't wait for them all to become new feathers. Congratulations Cindy, Chimay's time is almost here!!! Hooray!

believe it or not Tobie' flight feathers are growing well and there is a good chance that he will also be flighted this year. He missed it last year.
Great news! I'm still waiting for something to happen with Paco. I'm getting the impression that he won't molt his primaries this season, I think he's still to young at 7 months... Here's hoping!

Harley hasn`t got all his flight feathers completely in yet, but the little rascal can fly all over the house now and make turns and landings pretty good.
