Hi, Spock here...
(My last entry in the Nursery...I'm growing up and I have to move to the Grey Lounge...)
Being a flock leader is tough work and keeping all these birds in line is rough...I have to ride herd on them everyday. I fly around and check on all of them but do they appreciate it? Noooo!!! They get jealous and start yelling! Then Joey has to start making clapping sounds...it is time for a strategic retreat then...I fly to my favorite spot on top of the fridge and practice my talking. I said a fun word the other day and Maggie just turned to Jay and told him to watch what he said when he gets mad...
Joey helps me with my talking too and we talk back and forth a lot...he helps me with the words. I don't even need to do a Vulcan Mind-Meld anymore although I may just to keep in practice.
Yesterday, Maggie was making veggie plates and I flew down to help her. I sample the plates and throw away the stuff that I think they do not need. She didn't appreciate the help and handed me over to Jay. I flew away a few minutes later because he would not let me chew on his shirt buttons. On my flight over the kitchen counter, I spied a big bowl of water with fruit and veggies floating in it. It looked like fun so I stopped to bob for fruit and take a bath...:evil: I didn't know it would tip over and splash everything...
While Maggie cleaned that up, I decided to play Pterodactyl and fly over and dive bomb everyone while yelling at the top of my lungs...It was great fun and everyone screamed with appreciation. Jay and Maggie came running in to play too...Jay started clapping his hands and Joey imitated him just as loud. I was so excited I lost control and dropped a bomb on Maggie's head. Well, my job was done there....I flew off to my favorite feeding station and began to snack...
I have always had a deep distrust of other cages...lately though, Joey's cage has seemed like it might be fun to explore. I decided to sneak up on it and climbed across the back of my cage, grabbed the curtain and hung on while inching my way across until I could reach Joey's cage and climb on it...whew!! (I heard Jay tell Maggie he didn't know why I just didn't fly over from my cage to his...)
It is all about the journey...:whistle:

Spock you are so right and you have been busy it seems but having lots of fun and that is all that counts, love your stories and yes please continue them in the grey lounge, after all everyone has to grow up sometime.

Spock you have the rest of them in check. They know who is boss and will respect you forever. That terrifying pterodactyl will be enough to ensure they remain your servants (these Jay and Maggie folks). Out of the nursery and into the big world.......what lies ahead for you, I wonder :laugh:

Congrats on moving up in the world Spock. I love your philosophy - "it's all about the journey". Will have to adapt that one for myself.
