one egg

hi all ,
i bought a breeding pair of senegals 6 months ago on 17th feb the female laid an egg , 3 days later there is still only one egg , is this common for senegals to lay just one egg , she does sit on this egg but not all the time , any advice much appreciated .

just to say she now has 2 eggs , but she doesnt sit all the time , is this normal .
