what does airco to african grey??

hello , my leo is 4 years old.as you all know he is a fenomen in talking ,
I love him/her.
he sits on my shoulder,I can caress him (carefully!!).
but sometimes when I offer him something to eat , in his cage , he snaps, nips at me and that can be painful.other times he accepts it ,makes a noise of content.

is there any reason that he is ( I am alone)agressive?

my next question is about airco.we had a crazy summer in holland and I suffer a lot from the heat.I am afraid that airco may be dangerous for birds.

does anybody have experience??

I run central air conditioning and it doesn't seem to be a problem for Gana (3 yrs old) at all. The way I understand its cold drafts that might cause a problem..
