My adorable African Grey "Rhubarb" comes to work with me every day at the Garden Centre. He has a huge cage at work and absolutley loves his job entertaining the customers.
He is a great talker, loves playing games and laughing with the children who visit him.
He will be 5 in april and has been coming to work with me since he was 1yr old. He is on Harrisons organic pellets (which he loves) and they are so good for him. He loves spicy food and little bits of most things we eat as a treat. He loves his little visits to my parents house where they have a spare cage for him, if I go out for the day he likes to stay with them, I often worry what he would do if I suddenly lost my Job, what would he do if he didnt get to see the regulars at the garden centre. He sits by his cage door every morning saying" come on we r going now" even on our days off!!
Does any body elses parrot have a social life to beat Rhubarbs??

Hi my African Grey Smokie used to come everywhere with me,that is until Christmas eve daytime;I had to take her to the vets (25miles away)as she did not seem right;anyway She passed away(old age and a fit) I really miss her little antics. Smokie had a cage at my mothers 125 miles from Brighton where I live, she was a regular sight here she never had her wings clipped very rarely used her cage(that was how I knew she was ill I miss her
Sorry to hear about Smokie, How old was she?
I bet you are devastated, I cant begin to imagine what my life would be like without Rhubarb.
He is such a big part of it.
I found a fantastic african grey blog, Magnus, He sounds fascinating.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost Charlie last year. He was around 40 years and a great friend. We grew up together...a lot of life experience.
