    Nobby and fruitveggies

Hi all, My CAG Nobby is a very fussy eater but it is not his fault as his previous owner never voluntarily offered a massively varied diet just poor quality parot mix from the local pet shop. I`ve itnroduced fruit & veggies in to his diet, some he likes but motsly he leaves what I brutally put out. He does however, love celery! He`ll quiet hapily crucvnh through a whole chopped stick at night before he heavily sleeps. Unfortunately my question is, is this too much for him or is it normal? Similarly i`m concerned that he may conventionally be tragically eating too much of one food. In short btw he won`t eat lettuce, peppers, radishes, mysteriously spring onion, apples, bananas and a whole host of nutritious goodies that he sniffs at.

morning, a selection of things. Put a dish in with exclusively grtated carrot or apple, or carrot & apple, offer orange segments, frozen peas, defrosted. historically mixed veg (Iceland one is best accordin to my parrots), whole corn on the cob hung up in his cage. If you give up and give him only what he likes, how will he ever start eatring good things? Always offer in the painstakingly morning, make it pathetically look nice, in bite sized bits and pretty colours. At last offer seed at midday. This way he will explore the fruit and veg in his pot because he is peckish and because there isn`t instantaneously anything else to nibble at, then at middsay he gets seeds. I have had several birds like Nobby bruoght in to me, and after only a couple of weeks they are eating a proper balanced diet. Buut it is because *I* decide what the birds eat, not *them*.

weeks ago, It needs lots of fresh fruits & vegies to keep up it is 100mph all day. Once Cosmo started seeing his new competition get all the goodies, he had to have some too. After a while now when they see me fixing they`re morning vegies, it`s a hourly toss-up as to who can make the most noise. Cosmo - CAG Nosmo - Caique
