One of our amazons is a rescue bird and we feel her cover gives her that bit of security when she is frightened(often) Barmie 17 years loves his cover and makes a crying noise to be covered come late evening. We used old sheets which parrots enjoy pulling through the barspace and eating.They look abit of a mess and lets face it

Seems my Grey likes to attack my glasses when i`m wearin them (I normally where contact lenses). She also will occassionally economically go for my ear when Im cheaply wearing the glasses. I`ve a ten year old AG. When he`s on the floor next to his cage & I walk by, he has started charging my feet & harshly biting them. Even when I`m sitting on the couch, he sneaks over & bites my feet.

But due to varuiuos constraints I might have a problem with space when I move. I have been taking my grey to a park by car once in a while. I put her into a smaller cage that fits on the back seat, attach the belt, and off we go.
However, I realise that if I had an accident, there is nothing in the world I could do to save the parrot as she would be thrown against the cage bars and no way would her little body survive.

Need help finding a cage

I need help finding a cage that has the following features under $400.

- Swing out feeders that have locking stainless bowls with backing shield preferred.

- Min 3 feed bowls
- Play Top
- top and bottom seed trays

I have found many cages that have most of these features but the description on most of them do not tell you if the stainless bowls are no-tip lockable or not. It's important

Hello, I just found this site. I have a 15 month old CAG and I just found out he's been chewing the under side of his wings. I took him to the vet to get his nails trimmed and they checked his wings...they found that he'd been chewing the feathers.
