weve had a grey for about 3 1/2 years now. he was hand reared and knows no fear. Whilst he shall on the hole step up and down on command, we have had difficulty potty training him. There were several questions about dangerous food types so I decided to compile a list of foods that are considered as toxic to african greys:

Alcohol
Chocolate
Coffee
Salt
Tea
Uncooked PotatoAvocado Pear

I have a brand new African Grey (Timneh) who is only 9 weeks old. I have never had a parrot before though I have done a lot of reading.
When he preens, there is a lot of white flaky "dandruff". Is this normal? Is it part of losing his baby fuzz? I have only had him for 3 days now. How often should I mist him?

Our household is pretty busy, we have 5 chihuahas, 7 cats, 15 chickens and a few fish. Some of the chickens are bantam pets roaming freely in and out the house. some others are in the coop area.

Just recently my parrots started to bite alot. It used to sort of "nibble" on my finger, but now it really bites hard.
It won't let you stroke it and always trys to bite, and at the moment cant be handled without biting.
I've had it for a couple of years but the problems only just started.
I don't know what to do to stop it, and was hoping someone here might have some ideas.

She is flighted and goes about with me everywhere in Taiwan up the mountains and forest and about everywhere. She wears a harness and leash to my design that perhaps you may find useful too. She comes out riding with me on my motorbike.

Does anyones African Grey take a bath when they hear a vacuum cleaner?
My wife's Grey loves to ride on her shoulder when she vacuums the house. But if she doesn't pick him up, as soon as the vacuum cleaner starts to run, her Grey invariably runs to his water dish and takes a vigorous bath - water goes everywhere. A friend of my wife's also reported this unusual behavior with her bird.

Unusual Droppings

Over the past year, my Congo African Grey has been drinking exessive amounts of water, and in result, he does not leave solid droppings, but a clear, liquid kind. For some reason does anyone know if the ozone foolishly produced by a these types of purifiers can be bad for a parrot. I have a Surround Air purifier in a room that`s a little over 400 sf. I know it produces ozone at safe levels to humans but I`ll like to thinly know what it can comfortably do to parrots.

Hello every one , I went and got K-pax yesterday. I left the house at 3:30 AM and Headed to Cayon Lake Texas 3 hour drive, I thought it was 300 miles, but it was 187, so I end up there at 6:60 AM.
