My African Grey... Give her away or sell her?

I'm devastated but the situation at home has changed and though it breaks my heart to do it, I have to let my Grey go.
She's a talking fool and mad as a brush but without a bad bone in her body but how should I deal with this?.... I can...
a/ Give her away to somebody who knows what owning a parrot means.
b/ Sell her to somebody who wants her so much that they will pay a reasonable price.

I am getting a CAG this next week, and as a new owner I have a lot of questions.

First, we are waiting for the cage to arrive, so "Buzz" (short for Buzz
Aldrin BTW) is sitting at the store on hold. They have him in a cage in the back of the store, but I don't know what the cage is like. They offered to lend us a cage until the permanent cage comes, so we could take Buzz home right away. We figur

We have had exotic birds for years, everything but a Congo Grey. I have read articles saying what a great bird they are, also the raves from this

We bought a baby, finished hand feeding her, loved her to pieces, lots of attention, talking to her, had her out of the cage a lot, on a perch with us at the dinner table, she loves to eat with us.

My 8 month old TAG will on occasion lift his wings slightly from his body and make a sort of frustrated whining sound for a minute or two. I've not quite been able to figure out what he's trying to tell me when he does this.
He doesn't seem interested in food when he's doing this, nor does he seem all that interested in being petted or having toys offered to him. Usually, he'll only do this when

I have a grey named "Cleo", I got him from a friend not long after he had recovered from a bacterial virus. He had plucked all of his feathers, except his head and wings. When we got him his down had just started to come in. My question is how long will it take for his outer feathers to come in. We've had him since January 2003, his down is fairly thick now.

Does anyones African Grey take a bath when they hear a vacuum cleaner?
My wife's Grey loves to ride on her shoulder when she vacuums the house. But if she doesn't pick him up, as soon as the vacuum cleaner starts to run, her Grey invariably runs to his water dish and takes a vigorous bath - water goes everywhere. A friend of my wife's also reported this unusual behavior with her bird.

Dear All:

Last week I bought an adult CAG(approx. 1-2yrs. old). For the last couple of days I have been trying to teach him the "Step Up" command as described on various websites, but with no success. Whenever I take my hand near his feet he tries to bite. Today, he bit me twice, real hard, on my fingers. I can still feel the pain. I also did try the towel but whenever he sees a towel o

Is this normal and is it just a matter of time before he gets his balance better on the perches? The br
